Protection Pty Ltd was established in April 1991. The company
was founded by two former New South Wales Police Officers with
the mission of providing a reliable, honest and cost effective
manpower security service.
Our goal
has always been to build a lasting relationship with select clients
and maintain a personalised level of service. We believe that
this partnering approach will ensure client satisfaction.
Eastside
Protection currently holds a public liability insurance policy
to the sum of $20,000,000.00 (twenty million dollars). All appropriate
awards (including holiday and sick pay), Workers Compensation
and Superannuation are strictly adhered to.

JOHN W
ORMSBY - DIRECTOR
John is a
former Police Officer with over 16 years distinguished service
within the New South Wales Police Force. Most of this service
was performed within the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
During this
time John was attached to Special Branch. This section of the
Police Force is charged with advising on matters of state and
the protection of visiting dignitaries. John has been involved
in the close escort protection of members of the British Royal
Family and other heads of State.
John has
received small arms weapon training with the New South Wales Police
Force, the Los Angeles Police Department and Seattle Police Department.
John was
awarded the National Medal for Police for his exemplary service.
This Police service coupled with his security expertise, totals
28 years within law enforcement.
On the 21
September 1992, John was summoned before the New South Wales Parliament
to make a submission in relation to the improving the Security
Protection Industry. A number of recommendations made by John
have been introduced by the New South Wales Government.
